Enhancements

  • We got you a shiny new Christmas present — just a few days late: During the first week of January, 2018, all the updated MX widgets based on the React framework will go live for all users.

Many of the widgets have already been updated; however, this release will update the remaining widgets, specifically the Master widget, Debts, Help, Notifications, Settings, and Manage Institutions — which will now be called Manage Connections.

This update improves the look, feel, and performance of widgets; it also updates and clarifies end-user messaging inside Connect and Connections. Aggregation should be a little faster as well. It also adds an improved help center.

The updated widgets retain all previous functionality and require no action on the part of clients or users. If you have more questions, please reach out to your client success consultant. Merry Christmas!

  • We’ve also updated Connect and Connections to handle multi-image MFA.

  • “Buttery smooth” is how several devs described the latest improvements to bubble budgets. We did some work to make them render more quickly and more efficiently,  and we bumped the animation frame rate up to roughly 60 frames per second. Try it yourself. They’re so delicious you could practically use them on your popcorn.

  • Earlier, we prevented end users from editing certain account details for home accounts that are managed by a user’s financial institution. This was done to prevent the introduction of conflicting information. Now, we’ve added a visual que and messaging to make this more clear for end users. A lock icon appears to the right of locked fields, and hovering over the icon — or tapping on mobile —  will display a short explanation.

Fixes

  • There have been no major bug fixes since our last set of release notes. But that doesn’t mean we’re not working to fix a few — a developer’s job is never done.
